Apple's AI strategy focuses on staying out of the way

I wrote my thoughts on the first beta of iOS 26.4 for AppleInsider and where all this Apple Intelligence stuff is going. Note too that beta 1 not having the new Siri doesn't mean anything, especially since there hasn't been an announcement.

We're sure to see more examples of what Apple thinks AI should look and function like in the coming months. As I've said many times before, I expect Apple's approach to artificial intelligence to be unique and break through all the grifting, noise, and utter lack of profitability surrounding the technology.

Also, the further we get from that press invite, the less it feels like a product reveal. We'll see.

I expect we won't have to wait long.
